Dr. Rohit Saiju, MD
Dr. Rohit Saiju is a dedicated ophthalmic surgeon specialized in Cataract and Oculoplastic surgery which deals with problems affecting the eyelids, tear ducts, and eye sockets. He also has a special interest in cosmetic eyelid surgery, Botulinum toxin injections (BOTOX). He has a prestigious career of nearly two decades in the clinical eye and facial plastic surgery and had led these services since 2004. His credentials sympathetically distinguish him in the field; he holds master's degrees in ophthalmology in 2001 from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, and a one-year clinical fellowship from the prestigious Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne (2003-4). He has completed an Intensive Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy course from Mettapracharak Eye Hospital Thailand in 2008.
Dr. Purnima Rajkarnikar Sthapit, MD
Dr. Purnima Rajkarnikar Sthapit is an ocular oncologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Kathmandu.
Dr. Purnima was trained in Oculoplastic Surgery at LMU Augenklinikum, Munich, Germany and then, at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology. Later, she did her further fellowship in ocular oncology from Will's Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA, and Centre for Sight, Hyderabad. She is actively involved in the management of various eye cancers like Retinoblastoma, Melanoma, Ocular Surface Squamous Neoplasia to name a few. She has also been teaching and conducting oculoplastic surgeries for watery eyes, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, etc. Apart from patient management, she is doing various research activities and presentations at National and International conferences too. She currently holds the position of Central Committee Member of Cancer Relief Society as well.
Dr. Sanjita Sharma, MD
Dr. Sanjita Sharma is a dynamic Vitreo-Retina Specialist. She has been practicing ophthalmology since 2011 and providing the vitreo retina services at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology after an eighteen-month fellowship, jointly at the Tilgaga Institute of Ophthalmology and at John A. Moran Centre, Utah, USA. She has also received training for retina surgeries at Sushrut Eye Hospital, Kolkata, India. Apart from the retina services she is a well-trained SICS and Phaco Surgeon for Cataract Management. She has also served as the Hospital Chief, at the Hetauda Community Eye Hospital, Hetauda for a period of one and a half years, during which period she had been looking after the hospital administration and the clinical services simultaneously. Dr. Sharma has attended many National and International conferences with the gain in knowledge and its implementation while treating the patients.
Dr. Shyam Vyas, MD
Dr. Shyam Vyas is a young and dynamic eye surgeon, who completed his MBBS from the College of Medical Science, Bharatpur. After completing his MD Ophthalmology from NAMS Kathmandu, he has been working as an Ophthalmologist in Hetauda Community Eye Hospital and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology for 3 years. He specializes in Cataract and Community Ophthalmology.
Dr. Priya Bajgai, MS, FICO (Lon)
Dr. Priya is a sound academic personality and dynamic Vitreo-retina and uveitis specialist working at Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureswor since 2018. She has finished her MS Ophthalmology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh India. She received subspecialty training in Vitreo-retina and Uveitis in PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has attended ESASO Asia 15th module on the medical and surgical retina in 2018 in Singapore. Apart from her interest in helping her patients, she is inclined towards carrying out research and training activities for residents under the National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS) as an Assistant Professor.
Ms. Simran Dhakal
Simran is a clinical optometrist at Dristi the Vision Eye Center and maintains a practice and experimental site in the clinic. She is highly skilled and implements new practices and procedures to improve efficiency across the clinic. She holds her bachelor’s degree in Optometry from Rajiv Gandhi University and completed her one-year internship at Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital. She has received various trainings in contact lens and has been working as a clinical optometrist at this clinic for a year.
Ms. Shova Joshi
Ms. Shova Joshi, an energetic lady from Kathmandu has been actively working in Dristi Eye Clinic for the last decade as the front desk coordinator. She is pretty active in her professional work, hard-working and devoted staff, and well-motivated in responsibility. Today, she leads the practice with her administrative skills and knowledge as primarily responsible to schedule meetings and appointments, coordinate office activities and material works of the clinic. She has received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Study from CIT College TU, Kathmandu, and is currently doing her master's.
